In this role, you will design, develop, and test new features, as well as resolve software defects. You will collaborate directly with flight crews across our customer base, as well as the product team, to deliver high-quality, timely solutions in alignment with our quality standards and product roadmap. Your contributions will directly impact flight crews by improving efficiency, safety, and the overall in-flight experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Design, develop, maintain, and test efficient, high-quality aircraft performance software, including: Digitizing loosely structured data from aircraft flight and performance manuals, with a focus on increasing automation. Developing and maintaining aircraft performance logic algorithms. Designing output formats tailored to flight crew and aircraft operational requirements. Create comprehensive test plans and leverage automated testing tools where applicable. Collaborate proactively with cross-functional teams to ensure product deliverables align with roadmap priorities and technical requirements. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of software specifications, design documentation, and test development artifacts. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in both commercial and military aircraft performance domains. Engage directly with customers to ensure products meet their operational needs and performance expectations. Familiarity with fundamental low-speed aircraft performance principles. Understanding of basic weight and balance concepts, particularly as they apply to military or civilian aircraft operations (e.g., FAR Part 121 compliance). QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree (B.S.) from four-year college or university in an engineering discipline, aerospace engineering highly preferred. 0-2 years of related experience which may include academic coursework, personal or group projects, internships, or other related activities. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience programming with C# or Python preferred. Familiarity with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as .NET MAUI. Hands-on experience with software development lifecycle tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo, and Git. Working knowledge of XML and XSLT formats and transformation techniques. Experience integrating AI capabilities into software workflows where applicable. Familiarity with fundamental low-speed aircraft performance principles. Understanding of basic weight and balance concepts, particularly as they apply to military or civilian aircraft operations (e.g., FAR Part 121 compliance).
