The Assembler positions (I, II, III) at Generac involve performing assembly work to manufacture products efficiently and with quality standards. Responsibilities include validating materials, reviewing work instructions, building products per specifications, completing clean-up and housekeeping, and complying with safety and quality rules including PPE use. Assemblers at higher levels (II and III) perform more complex assembly tasks, train other employees, participate in continuous improvement programs, and solve production-related problems. Minimum qualifications vary by level, from ability to perform repetitive tasks to having a high school diploma and experience in complex assembly. Preferred qualifications include manufacturing experience, ERP system knowledge, root cause problem solving, and training skills. Essential duties include using work instructions and tools, resolving problems, cross-training, providing training, understanding products, and suggesting improvements. Other duties include following procedures, demonstrating good attendance and safety, participating in team meetings, and accessing ERP systems. Physical demands include standing, walking, occasional stooping, bending, lifting 25-50 pounds, and computer-based work. The role reports to the Production Supervisor.
