Role Purpose Statement

Join our dynamic HR team at our newest operations center, supporting over 1,000 employees. We’re looking for a people-focused, highly organized professional to support both recruiting and general HR administration in our fast-paced airline catering environment. You’ll play a vital role in welcoming new hires, driving recruitment efforts, and ensuring a positive employee experience for our frontline team. The HR team has 7 team members and this role reports to the Sr. HR Manager.

Location: Near SFO International Airport

Schedule: Flexibility is required as our operations run 365/24/7 to service United Airlines.

Main Accountabilities

Recruitment Support

  • Assist the Senior Recruiter in coordinating all stages of the recruiting process
  • Review applications, conduct initial phone screens, and schedule interviews with hiring managers
  • Post jobs online and explore new recruitment channels, including social media, professional networks, and community partnerships
  • Schedule and support job fairs and hiring events
  • Initiate background checks and drug screenings
  • Maintain weekly reports on open positions and hiring activity

Employee Experience & Administration

  • Prepare onboarding materials and assist with new hire orientation sessions
  • Support the administration of HR policies, procedures, and union agreements
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
  • Maintain accurate records and personnel documentation
  • Provide day-to-day support to employees and managers across various departments
  • Help resolve employee inquiries with a customer-service mindset

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • 2–4 years of experience in recruiting or general HR support
  • Bilingual skills a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Able to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality
  • Comfortable in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with frequent employee interaction
