Job Title: Medical Assistant

Location: Sparta, NJ 07871 Employment Type: Full time

Position Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and ensuring a seamless patient experience through clinical assistance, coordination, and support services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients warmly, introduce yourself, escort them to exam rooms, and prepare them for evaluation.

• Update and verify patient records at every visit, including medical history, medication/allergy changes, vital signs, and surgical history.

• Prepare exam rooms for procedures such as injections, aspirations, casting, suture/staple removal, and ultrasounds.

• Apply braces and durable medical equipment (DME) per provider instructions, ensuring patients understand proper usage.

• Provide patients with clear and thorough follow-up instructions for appointments, imaging, procedures, and surgeries.

• Triage orders and prescriptions efficiently, ensuring accurate scheduling and obtaining necessary authorizations.

• Check voicemail/messages frequently and return all patient calls the same day; communicate expected response time if an immediate answer is not available.

• Review the next day's schedule to confirm X-ray orders are entered, avoiding patient delays.

• Assist in orthopedic urgent care with patient triage, treatments, and procedures as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).

• National Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA, RMA, or CMA)

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems (preferred).

Compensation : $20-24 hourly (depending on experience)

Hours : 40 hours/week - Mon-Fri between the hours of 7:30am-5:30pm and every other Saturday

Location : Sparta, NJ 07871

Benefits: In order to be eligible for health benefits, you must be employed for 30 days and must average 30 hours per week over your first four weeks on assignment. If you become eligible and take action to enroll, you will be covered no earlier than 60 days into your assignment, depending on plan selection(s).
