Overview Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) role at Mass General Brigham . CHOIR (Center for Health Outcomes and Interdisciplinary Research) seeks a CRC for two projects: PCORI-funded “Healthy Aging as Black Adults: In It Together” (HABIT) project, a study of interventions for chronic pain and early cognitive decline among older, community-based Black adults. RCMAR – funded pilot project “Mixed-Methods Pilot to Inform a Behavioral Activation and Physical Activity Intervention for Older Black Men”. The CRC will coordinate and carry out study activities; recruit, consent, enroll, and retain participants; perform study assessments and follow-ups; complete data entry and management; update study records and documents; act as a study resource for participants; and facilitate community outreach and stakeholder engagement. They will work with other CRCs at CHOIR through team research meetings, trainings, and presentations, and will have opportunities to gain clinical research experience at MGH CHOIR. Responsibilities Implementation of research protocols, including collection of surveys, clinical, cognitive, and digital health assessments. Recruit and gather data from older adults, patients, and caregivers (in-person and by phone/Zoom). Collaborate with providers in clinical and community settings. Support community outreach and stakeholder engagement. Maintain participant records and databases. Administer surveys to participants through electronic applications (REDCap). Conduct literature and library searches. Ensure compliance with federal and IRB regulations. Assist with IRB submissions, amendments and continuing reviews. Assist with preparation of grant applications and manuscripts, including data analyses, literature searches and drafting of publications. Perform administrative support duties as required. Attend individual and team meetings. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s required. Experience: Some relevant research project work 0-1 year preferred. Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Careful attention to detail; good organizational and interpersonal skills; ability to follow directions; computer literacy; working knowledge of clinical research protocols; ability to demonstrate respect and professionalism for subjects’ rights and individual needs. Additional Details Availability to work in-person 4 out of 5 days a week is required. Working hours are typically 8:30-5:00; some tasks may fall outside these hours due to patient scheduling.
