What you will do:

\n

Leadership and Team Management:

\n
    \n
  • Proven leadership skills to manage and mentor a team of testers.
  • \n
  • Ability to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • \n
\n

Oversee and provide guidance on:

\n
    \n
  • Development, execution, and documentation of comprehensive test plans and validation products for control systems ensuring appropriate coverage at all levels while continuously improving efficiency including MIL, SIL, HIL, bench, subsystem, and system/product level testing.

  • \n
  • Oversee the collaboration with the Product Test & Validation Team and the Digital development team to ensure validation coverage is maximized while reducing duplication of efforts.

  • \n
  • Progress and Status Reporting

  • \n
  • Monitor and report the progress of testing activities to stakeholders.
  • \n
  • Provide clear and concise status reports, highlighting any issues or roadblocks.
  • \n
  • Comprehensive test plans and strategies that align with project requirements and timelines.
  • \n
  • Scope, objectives, and criteria for testing.
  • \n
  • Detailed test cases and scenarios based on system requirements and specifications.
  • \n
  • The execution of test cases and scenarios, ensuring adherence to the test plan and documented procedures
  • \n

Defect and Issue Management:

\n
    \n
  • Identify, log, track, and resolve defects and performance issues.
  • \n
  • Ensure that all defects are documented and communicated to relevant teams for resolution.
  • \n
\n

Compliance and Quality Assurance:

\n
    \n
  • Ensure that testing activities comply with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • \n
  • Deliver documentation and records of testing activities for audit and compliance purposes.
  • \n
\n

Risk Management and Continuous Improvement:

\n
    \n
  • Identify potential risks and issues related to control systems testing
  • \n
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks.
  • \n
  • Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes and methodologies.
  • \n
  • Implement best practices and stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in control systems testing.
  • \n
\n

Stakeholder Communication and Team Development:

\n
    \n
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and clients.
  • \n
  • Provide clear and concise reports on testing progress, issues, and outcomes.
  • \n
  • Provide training and mentoring to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • \n
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • \n

What you will bring:

\n
    \n
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required; master’s degree in engineering is preferred.

  • \n
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in an engineering test or analysis role, with at least 5 years of people leadership experience demonstrating team growth preferred.

  • \n
  • In-depth understanding of control systems, including PLCs, SCADA, DCS, and HMI.

  • \n
  • Familiarity with control system architectures and communication protocols.

  • \n
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret test results and identify defects.

  • \n
  • Experience with data analysis tools and techniques.

  • \n
  • Ability to develop and manage test plans, schedules, and resources.

  • \n
  • Experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, or Trello.

  • \n
  • Proficiency in identifying potential risks and developing mitigation strategies.

  • \n
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • \n
  • Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, including project managers, developers, and clients.

  • \n
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues quickly and effectively.

  • \n
  • Ability to think critically and make informed decisions under pressure.

Compensation:

\n

Annual base compensation: $120,000 – 160,000
Total compensation for this role also will include an incentive plan.

\n
