Position : 1 (Non-Exempt Role)

Reporting to : Datacenter Engineering Manager

Location : Jessup, Maryland, US

Basic Purpose

We are seeking Data Center Engineering Intern to join our growing Data Center Engineering Team for the Summer of 2025. Our team is responsible for the design and development of Hot Aisle Containment Systems and Structural Ceilings which are deployed in data centers worldwide. Our business has been growing exponentially and we need an engineer who can help us keep up the pace of growth.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Project Engineers on new product concepts (doors, partitions, walls, ceilings, etc.) using materials such as extruded aluminum, structural steel, and polycarbonate, including design using 3D CAD, qualification via 3D rapid prototyping, and first article testing.
  • Help to integrate power distribution components into existing products.
  • Help to maintain engineering drawings, specifications, and quality procedure documentation.

Additional Expectation

  • Remain compliant with the Code of Conduct and Policies which includes the Kingspan Group Compliance Policy.
  • Ensure that all duties related to product compliance are adhered to in accordance with the Product Compliance Policy, Laws, Regulations, and market demands.
  • Responsible for all tasks to achieve compliance goals and demands of the Compliance Management System.
  • Must raise concerns related to the Compliance Management System to their supervisor, manager, or any member of the Leadership Team, or through the confidential whistle blower service.

Qualifications

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with 3D SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD.
  • Working knowledge of technical drawing standards and practices.
  • Knowledge of BIM modeling and Revit a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and interface with sales, customer service, purchasing, manufacturing, engineering.
