Director, DEI Practices

The Director, DEI Practices will partner closely with Sr HRBPs, HR Centres of Excellence (COEs) and Business Leaders to integrate Nike's DEI philosophy into the hiring, development, engagement and retention strategies for our Enterprise programs. They will lead a team of employees to partner with the HRBPs of our Corporate Business teams to proactively advise on the most impactful DEI programming and insights for the Corporate Business teams.

The Director, DEI Practices will oversee the strategy of how DEI is integrated in our Enterprise talent practices, policies and accessibility standards. The candidate needs to have a deep understanding of DEI practices and principals combined with a strong business acumen. Past experience in DEI and/or Talent Management (with a focus on Learning & Development) and/or HRBP roles, is preferred. This role requires extensive partnership with Business leaders and executives and will require strong program and project management capabilities, including ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities to achieve strategic objectives. Experience managing a team of employees is preferred.

A minimum of 9 years of directly relevant experience.

A Master's Degree in Human Resources or related field. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and training.

Demonstrating neutral and composed leadership across diverse communities, leading with an open and inclusive mindset.

Experience in program development and implementation, especially as it pertains to agility with change management.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present in front of large audiences.

Capability to build and maintain cross-functional networks and navigate complex organizational structures to deliver business results.

Stay abreast of the best practices in the DEI space and integrate them meaningfully into Nike's programming.

The Director, DEI Practices is a blended role, overseeing a team of employees. Leverage your expertise in DEI to be a consultant to the Enterprise HR COEs (L&D, Talent Acquisition, People Solutions, Performance Excellence etc.), and oversee strategy of how DEI is integrated into the Enterprise talent practices, programs and policies, to make them inclusive, equitable and accessible. Build collective accountability amongst the larger HR & business leadership team to drive DEI outcomes with a data driven focus. Partner with the HRBPs that support our corporate business teams, to operationalize the central DEI strategy, in alignment to the priorities and goals for the business teams they support, embedding customizations as needed. Oversee a team of employees who will partly support corporate HRBPs with all DEI related matters and partly focus on a specific talent functional area/vertical (e.g. DEI + L&D, DEI + Talent Acquisition, Accessibility). Be a strategic thought partner to HRBPs by proactively advising on the most impactful DEI programming and insights, consulting on complex DEI issues/resolution of escalated issues, and leading with data driven programming. Audit corporate businesses' DEI initiatives to ensure all programming is centrally hosted by the DEI team. Partner with HRBPs to establish a council structure to proactively solve for DEI topics. Ensure accessibility inclusion is front and center of everything we do at Nike. Embed a data driven approach to defining success metrics for the corporate business teams and review insights for meaningful future programming. Engage externally to benchmark best practices and incorporate the latest research in the DEI domain. Foster a culture of DEI stewardship, being the face of DEI for our brands, sites and Geos, leading complex conversations with confidence and grace. Influence diverse stakeholders, rallying them towards Nike's DEI vision and purpose. Create a culture high performance, fostering global collaboration and accountability to deliver a seamless teammate experience.
