Job Title: Economic Mobility Counselor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Economic Mobility Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide guidance and support to individuals and families seeking to improve their economic situation and achieve financial stability. This role involves assessing client needs, developing personalized action plans, and connecting clients with resources and services that promote economic mobility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to identify clients' economic challenges and goals.
- Develop and implement personalized action plans to help clients achieve financial stability.
- Provide one-on-one counseling sessions to guide clients through financial decision-making processes.
- Connect clients with community resources, job training programs, and educational opportunities.
- Monitor client progress and adjust action plans as necessary to ensure success.
- Facilitate workshops and group sessions on financial literacy, budgeting, and career development.
- Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to enhance service delivery.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in compliance with organizational policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in social work, counseling, finance, or a related field.
- Experience in counseling, social services, or economic development preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial literacy concepts and resources.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Empathy and a commitment to helping others achieve their goals.
