Responsibilities Supervises customer service associates and designated hitters. Manages the front end of the store and makes recommendations on pharmacy and retail store operations. Supports Store Manager in overall store operations, works alternate schedules, and assumes responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager. Leads and manages store team members including recruitment, hiring, performance management, and discipline. Ensures proper merchandising, asset protection, and enhances sales and profitability. Customer Experience Engages customers, resolves complaints, and models customer service best practices. Monitors and improves customer service metrics through coaching and training. Operations Supervises store operations, schedules, and cash management. Collaborates with external partners and supports community outreach. Manages inventory, store cleanliness, safety, and compliance with policies and laws. Business Performance Management Analyzes financial and performance data to create improvement plans. Supports pharmacy operations and drives store growth initiatives. People & Performance Management Leads team development, performance reviews, and talent acquisition. Establishes a culture of accountability and manages disciplinary actions. Training & Personal Development Completes required training programs and maintains relevant certifications. Engages in self-development and maintains an Individual Development Plan. Communications Maintains open communication with team members and supports strategic planning. Qualifications Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, with leadership abilities and strong communication skills. Completion of Store Manager training (LEAP) or willingness to complete Walgreens Leadership Essentials within 12 weeks. Fluent in English (except in Puerto Rico), flexible schedule, and willingness to relocate if needed. Internal candidates: management experience; external candidates: retail or food industry experience. We consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
