Job Description
We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance Manager to join our team in Syracuse, New York. This contract role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your expertise in financial planning, analysis, and reporting. The position requires a hands-on approach to managing key financial functions and working closely with the Controller to support the company's operational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Perform month-end close activities to ensure accurate financial records.
• Develop and maintain financial models to support forecasting and budgeting processes.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and analysis to aid decision-making.
• Conduct profit and loss (P& L) reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with the accounting team on accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgeted targets.
• Assist with forecasting and long-term financial planning.
• Ensure adherence to industry-specific financial standards and best practices.
• Support the Controller in managing day-to-day financial operations.
• Provide insights into process improvements for financial reporting systems
• Proven experience in financial reporting, analysis, and modeling.
• Strong understanding of month-end close processes and P& L reconciliation.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets and forecasts.
• Familiarity with industry-specific financial practices in manufacturing is preferred.
• Proficiency in financial software systems
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus but not mandatory
