Job Description

A K-12 school in Auburn, NY is seeking a skilled Paraprofessional or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support the Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering exceptional services to students. This contract position spans the entire school year, offering a consistent and rewarding opportunity to contribute to student development in an onsite setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students speech and language needs
• Provide direct support and intervention to students under the guidance of the SLP
• Document student progress and assist with preparing instructional materials
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to ensure effective communication and support strategies
• Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Paraprofessional or SLPA, preferably in a K-12 educational setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and staff
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and adapt to individual student needs
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism
• Relevant certifications or credentials as a paraprofessional or SLPA
