As our Mental Health Specialist (PLMHP), you will have the opportunity to help youth and their families in rural Nebraska by providing behavioral health crisis intervention and prevention services, while working as part of an interdisciplinary team at our new behavioral health urgent care facility in Kearney.
Schedule: Full Time, 1p-8p
*Supervision provided by an LIMHP. Candidate's who plan to obtain their independent licensure in the next 6 months are desired.
The skills set we are seeking include crisis assessment that focuses on first session stabilization, provision of initial intervention skills, and brief treatment planning. The follow-up care or bridge care will be brief evidence based solution focused strategies that match the patients presenting issue(s) with the patients/families capacity to implement. Specific modalities might include: CBT, DBT, ACT, MI, crisis assessment, parent training, individual, group and family therapy. It will be essential that successful candidates are trauma care informed.
