Location: Remote with a CA State License

Compensation: $125/Hr.

Position Summary: 

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Part-Time, contracts Physicians to join our team and provide virtual care visits for our patients. As a part of the Falck Physicians Group, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional medical care to patients in the comfort of their own homes. This position offers the flexibility of working remotely and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient health and well-being. You will be working with the Mobile Care Team directly with every visit. A Mobile Care Specialist (MCS) will be in the home with the patient, assessing, testing, and collecting important information. All findings will be transmitted via the technology to the Physician so they can conduct the virtual care visit. The MCS will remain at the patient’s side to respond to any physician orders, including lab draws, treatments, medication administration, and further referrals of care.

As a new program, we are looking for physicians that are willing to train and grow with the program. As new MCS come on board, we would like the physicians to participate in onboarding, personally get to know the team, and build a positive repour with everyone, so the program will have a positive impact on the patients.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct virtual care visits with patients using telemedicine platforms.
  • Provide medical consultations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans with the MCS in the patient’s home.
  • Prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Mobile Care Team, including the Care Coordinator, to ensure all appropriate orders, recommendations, and services are delivered to close the loop on the patient’s care and experience.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
  • Educate patients on their health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care measures.
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance requirements, including patient confidentiality and data security.

 

Essential Functions to include, but not limited to:

  • Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient on a plan for treatment.
  • Prescribe medication in accordance with California statute and professional practice guidelines.
  • Arrange referral for patients requiring additional services.
  • Review incoming diagnostic and consultative reports, sign, date and follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational courses, reviewing professional publications, establishing professional networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Develop a health care support team by providing information, educational opportunities, and experiential growth opportunities.
  • May require participation in after-hours call rotation
  • May require evening and weekend shifts

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine).
  • Currently licensed to work in the State of California as a Physician; current DEA certificate; current CPR certificate.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience, preferably in a virtual care or telemedicine setting.
  • Strong and effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using telemedicine platforms and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
  • Ability to work independently, efficiently, and with high-quality standards

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in telemedicine or virtual care.
  • Multistate licensure.
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills.

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time position with flexible hours.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed as the program grows.
