We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Lead Python Data Engineer to spearhead the development and maintenance of our cutting-edge data infrastructure. The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Charlotte, NC is $100k - $115k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Create large-scale data processing pipelines to help developers build and train novel machine learning algorithms.
  • Participate in code reviews, ensure code quality and identify areas for improvement to implement practical solutions.
  • Debugging codes when required and troubleshooting any Python-related queries.
  • Keep up to date with emerging trends and technologies in Python development.

Requirements:

5+ years of experience in gathering user requirements, building solutions using Python in Test Driven Development

10+ years of overall experience in a developer capacity using other core languages such as Python, Java, C++, or C#

5+ experience designing distributing computing frameworks in Python

5+ experience in Relational DB (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or others)

3+ Micro-service and RESTFull API development experience

3+ years of working with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Automation Deployment toolkits)

3+ years in Agile Development environment

Preferred, but not required:

3+ years’ experience in NoSQL DB

2+ years’ experience in Cloud Computing (Azure, GCP and/or AWS)

5+ years in Java Script development (REACT or Angular)

5+ years of capital markets domain, specifically in risk disciplines such as Market and Counterparty Credit Risk Knowledge and understanding of derivative products, risk management, and data modeling of financial products Knowledge and understanding of data management for reporting and quantitative analytics.
