About the Role
We are a stealth‑mode advanced specialty‑chemicals manufacturing company that has engineered a containerised, rapidly deployable production unit capable of manufacturing finished water‑treatment polymers directly at or near customer sites. One module can be fully commissioned in weeks, runs on renewable power, and can be tuned in real time for charge density, molecular weight, or blended formulations giving end‑users faster spec response, lower logistics cost, and a markedly smaller carbon footprint than legacy suppliers. Our current product slate includes NSF‑approved polyamines, polyDADMACs, polyDCDA, custom coagulant blends, and adjacent chemistries for pulp & paper, oil & gas, cooling‑water, and municipal/industrial wastewater applications. Role: Fractional / Director of Sales – Specialty Polymers (Commission‑Only) You will leverage an established network of utility superintendents, industrial wastewater managers, pulp‑mill engineers, refinery water specialists, and data‑centre facilities teams to secure plant trials, negotiate master supply agreements, and grow recurring revenue. Compensation is a generous percentage of invoiced revenue, paid as long as the customer continues to purchase allowing a single mid‑sized account to generate six‑figure annual residuals. Key Responsibilities Open doors at priority accounts, arrange jar tests or on‑site evaluations, and close commercial supply deals. Coordinate internally with process engineers and regulatory staff to ensure rapid scale‑up from trial to routine production. Maintain clear, timely communication with both customers and internal stakeholders, providing accurate forecasts and flagging technical or logistical hurdles early. Act as the public face of the company at WEFTEC, AWT, AWWA ACE, TAPPI, SPE, and other sector conferences; gather competitive intelligence and feed it back to the product team. Ideal Experience 15+ years quota‑carrying sales of water‑treatment or process‑chemistry lines (e.g., Nalco, ChemTreat, Solenis, Kurita, Buckman, SNF). Current Rolodex across at least one of the following verticals: municipal water, pulp & paper, oil & gas, food & beverage, data‑centre cooling, industrial water treatment. Working knowledge of NSF‑60, AWWA standards, NPDES permitting, sludge‑handling economics, and total‑cost‑of‑treatment selling is a plus. Operates comfortably as an independent contractor; business expenses covered at actuals. No active non‑compete prohibiting solicitation of new accounts (we will review covenants and, if required, escrow early commissions until cleared). Engagement Terms Remote, flexible hours that work on your schedule. Company covers sample freight, trial consumables, approved travel, and conference expenses. Path exists to a full‑time executive position, once mutually agreed revenue thresholds are reached. If you are a senior rain‑maker ready to monetise your network on the next wave of on‑site polymer production technology, we look forward to a confidential conversation.
