As a Security Officer - Access Control Patrol in New Braunfels, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage and more .

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment at a leading food and beverage distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring and controlling access points, conducting routine patrols throughout the facility, and remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with employees, visitors, and vendors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication at all times. This position requires driving as part of your duties, so a valid driver's license is necessary. What You’ll Do:

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors in accordance with site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals entering or exiting the premises and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific protocols to help maintain a secure environment within the food and beverage facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities according to Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Support emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols for the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver’s license is required for positions that involve driving and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A Guard Card or license is preferred for this position.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
