As a Security Professional - Access Control - Overnight in Rockville, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities and more .

As an Access Control Officer in a utilities environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your presence and attention to detail contribute to a secure atmosphere for all personnel and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, manage access points, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, responding to emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the utility location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions as required by the site.
• Monitor access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain awareness of all individuals entering or exiting the premises.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with staff, visitors, and contractors regarding access protocols and site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Maryland Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
• A valid guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have 5 years of verifiable experience.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
