ABOUT JB SKRUB
JB SKRUB is a skin and body care brand specifically designed for tweens and teens. It was
founded by two moms who wanted to create products that are effective, safe, and
appealing to this age group. The brand was formulated with the assistance of a pediatric
dermatologist. We lead with humor, speaking to both millennial parents and their teens. JB
SKRUB is sold directly to consumers through its website, TikTok and Amazon.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a creative, funny, and beauty-obsessed Social Content Creator & Strategist
on a contract basis to lead our presence and engagement for Tik Tok, Instagram and
YouTube. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a proven track
record in the beauty industry, and is passionate about building authentic brand
communities through compelling short-form video content. This position is remote (U.S.
only). JB SKRUB is based in Los Angeles.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Content Strategy & Execution
• Develop and execute a comprehensive TikTok, Instagram and YouTube content
strategy aligned with brand goals and marketing campaigns.
• Plan, film, edit, and publish daily TikTok, Instagram and YouTube videos that
showcase our products and embody the JB SKRUB ethos.
• Create high-quality, native TikTok content that translates our clean pre-teen
skincare brand into a platform-appropriate tone and visual language.
• Maintain and update a robust TikTok/Instagram social content calendar.
• Collaborate with creative teams to source, brief, and organize assets (video
concepts, scripts, music, captions).
• Track and leverage trending sounds, challenges, and memes relevant to the
JB SKRUB voice.
Community Management & Growth
• Actively engage with followers by responding to comments and DMs on TikTok
within 24 hours.
• Foster a supportive and positive TikTok/Instagram community by encouraging user-
generated content and participating in relevant conversations.
• Collaborate with influencers and creators to amplify reach and brand storytelling.
Platform Listening & Insights• Monitor TikTok/Instagram to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential
issues within the beauty space.
• Gather and analyze video performance data and community feedback, reporting
actionable insights to the team.
• Adapt content approach based on analytics and audience response to maximize
reach and engagement.
• Monthly reporting on performance.
