Company Overview:

Salice America is part of the global Salice Group, a leading player recognized worldwide for its innovation, quality, and excellence in the high-end luxury furniture hardware industry. With decades of experience and a strong commitment to cutting-edge solutions, Salice provides premium products and services to some of the most prestigious furniture manufacturers and designers. At Salice America, we combine Italian craftsmanship and technology with deep market expertise to serve the North American market with distinction and reliability.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a results-driven Director of Supply Chain to oversee and optimize the procurement, inventory, logistics, and warehouse operations for goods imported from Europe into the United States and Canada. The Director will lead a team of approximately 12 professionals and will be responsible for ensuring seamless supply chain execution — from supplier coordination to warehouse management — while aligning stock levels and transportation activities with market needs and operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement and inbound logistics process for goods sourced from Europe to North America.
  • Supervise warehouse operations, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Manage and develop a team of approximately 12 supply chain, procurement, logistics, and warehouse professionals.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize inventory levels, ensuring an ideal balance between service levels and working capital objectives.
  • Monitor and maintain stock accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and process improvements.
  • Optimize transportation costs by managing carriers, negotiating contracts, and improving delivery efficiency.
  • Coordinate closely with European factories to align production schedules and shipments with North American demand.
  • Oversee demand planning and forecasting processes to drive synchronization between supply and market needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all import/export regulations, customs requirements, and corporate quality standards.
  • Track and analyze key supply chain metrics, including inventory turnover, order fulfillment, transportation costs, and warehouse productivity.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across procurement, logistics, and warehouse operations to enhance overall performance.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic input and reporting to the executive leadership team on supply chain performance and opportunities for optimization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, and international logistics.
  • Proven experience managing warehouse teams and overseeing day-to-day warehouse functions.
  • Strong expertise in inventory optimization, transportation cost control, and warehouse efficiency.
  • Solid understanding of import/export compliance, customs regulations, and international logistics best practices.
  • Excellent coordination skills for collaboration with European factories and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and warehouse management software; SAP or Oracle experience preferred.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Italian) is an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
