Nunes & Charrier, LLC, a CPA firm located on the Southcoast of Massachusetts, is seeking a dedicated and motivated CPA or Enrolled Agent to join our Team. We are also considering candidates that are pursing one of these credentials. This position is full-time, in person.

The ideal candidate possesses the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
• At least 2-3 years of experience preparing 1040 income tax returns.
• Experience/familiarity with preparing 1065, 1120, 1120S business tax returns.
• Experience/Familiarity with preparing 1041 fiduciary tax returns for trust and estates.
• Bookkeeping skills and experience with Excel, QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
• Strong communication, organization, analytical, client service and PC skills.
• A strong work ethic in taking ownership of assignments.
• Time management skills.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.

The candidate’s responsibilities include the following:

• Preparation of individual income tax returns.
• Assisting with preparing fiduciary (i.e., 1041 trust and estate), corporate (1120 and 1120S), and partnership (1065) income tax returns.
• Performing bookkeeping for corporate clients using QuickBooks Desktop and Online.
• Assisting with responding to client inquiries and tax notices

Seasonality of Tax Season

We are looking for a candidate that is able to work on Saturdays during tax season. Despite the hectic pace of tax season, our staff does not work on Sundays except for the last two weeks of “the season.” We recognize the need for work-life balance and provide paid ½ days on Wednesday from mid-June through September 30 for our employees and us to relax and enjoy the summer.
