Job Title: Tax Preparer Location: Beaverton, OR Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire, Fully Onsite Salary: $55,000–$70,000/year, Depending on ExperienceWe are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Preparer to join our client’s growing team in Beaverton, Oregon. This is a direct hire opportunity with a well-established firm that values accuracy, client service, and professional growth. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in preparing individual and small business tax returns and a working knowledge of current federal and state tax laws. Responsibilities: • Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations.• Conduct client consultations to gather financial data and ensure accurate filings• Identify tax-saving opportunities and ensure clients benefit from available deductions and credits• Stay informed on current tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices• Maintain organized and secure client records in compliance with firm and regulatory standards• Assist with IRS and state correspondence or audits as needed• Collaborate with internal staff and management to support seasonal workload and client demands Requirements: • 2+ years of recent experience in tax preparation• Proficiency with tax software (e.g., Drake, Lacerte, or similar) and Microsoft Excel• Solid understanding of federal and state tax codes and regulations• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Active PTIN preferred; EA or CPA designation preferred, but not required• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field a plus Benefits: Benefits vary depending on employer Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
