Job Title: Warehouse Worker - $17/HR - Start ASAP

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Picker and Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently retrieving, packing, and delivering materials while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders from the Warehouse Manager and retrieve, pick, and pack goods from the warehouse.
• Check packing lists for accuracy and inspect collected goods.
• Deliver materials to routing areas for packing and update the computer ordering system.
• Use an order-picker system or sheet to pull orders when needed.
• Follow safety rules when picking an order in the warehouse.
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks at the warehouse.
• Move stock in a manner that prevents breakage and product loss.
• Ensure that strict delivery deadlines are met.
• Uphold all company policies and practices.
• Perform and complete other duties or special projects as assigned.
• The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM

Essential Skills

• Experience as a Picker/Packer or Warehouse Associate.
• Ability to read a pick slip, assess material locations, and package items for delivery.
• Ability to lift 50-75 lbs daily and assist with loading/unloading delivery trucks.
• Comfortable standing for 10 hours a day without sitting.
• Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
• Ability to operate various types of material-handling equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, and pallet wraps.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.

Work Environment

The work environment requires continuous standing and walking, pushing and pulling, and lifting or carrying up to 50 pounds. Employees must be able to perform tasks that involve fine finger movements like keyboard operations, tactile assistance with products, and using material-handling equipment. The role requires bending, climbing ladders, kneeling, squatting, and reaching overhead. Communication with store employees, co-workers, and vendors is essential, requiring speaking, hearing, and sight.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
