We are in search of a Health Occupational Nurse to join our team in Shakopee, MN! In this role, you will play a critical role in managing employee occupational health and wellness in a dynamic manufacturing & field-based team. This individual will be responsible for administering workers' compensation programs, coordinating accommodations, managing workplace injuries, and serving as a key point of contact for all occupational health-related matters in North America. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Workers' Compensation & Claims Management : Leading the workers' compensation process, including claim filing, communication with third-party administrators, statutory filings and return-to-work planning. Partnering with legal and insurance teams to manage claim-related litigation, prepare documentation, and provide testimony as needed. Workplace Accommodations : Evaluating and coordinating reasonable accommodation for employees with medical or personal needs, ensuring compliance with ADA and internal policies. Injury Follow-Up: Monitoring recovery progress of injured employees and coordinating with healthcare providers and supervisors to facilitate a safe return to work. Partnering with EHS & People Leaders in the incident investigation process. HR & EHS Partnership : Developing, updating, and managing occupational health and safety policies in collaboration with HR and EHS teams. Partnering with HR and Leaves Manager to provide medical advice, guidance on accommodations/leaves, etc. First Response Team : Championing the First Aid Response Team, ensuring immediate and effective response to on-site medical incidents and injuries. OSHA Recordkeeping : Maintaining accurate OSHA logs and reports, ensuring timely submission and compliance with federal and state requirements. Medical Exams Coordination : Coordinating and monitoring surveillance and regulatory examinations for employees, including visual acuity tests, audiograms, respiratory evaluations, business travel assessments, and related procedures. Preventive Health Coordination : Serving as the primary coordinator for preventive health initiatives such as vaccination clinics, travel health services, and related efforts. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Occupational Safety & Health, Human Resources, or related field Minimum of five (5) years of experience in occupational health, workers' compensation, or employee health management Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, ADA, FMLA, and state-specific leave laws Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to manage sensitive issues with confidentiality and professionalism Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Legal authorization to work in the United States Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart: BSN, RN and/or COHN strongly preferred Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting Experience with health management systems and HRIS platforms Proficient in the use of computer software (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Our Culture & Commitment to You: At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow. Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $80,000-$120,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.?
