Salary Range: $100K – $125K
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant for one of our clients. This role is responsible for managing the organization’s tax planning and compliance functions, including federal, state, and local tax filings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical tax expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to interpret complex tax regulations to ensure compliance and optimize tax strategies.
Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns for entities, partnerships, and individuals, ensuring timely and accurate filings.
Support quarterly and annual tax provision calculations and reporting in accordance with ASC 740.
Conduct tax research and stay current on tax law changes to evaluate their impact on the company.
Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and support business goals.
Manage audits and correspondence with tax authorities, ensuring a smooth and professional resolution of issues.
Maintain organized documentation to support tax filings, audits, and financial statement disclosures.
Assist with transfer pricing, international tax compliance, and intercompany transactions as needed.
Collaborate with finance, legal, and business teams to support transactions and corporate initiatives.
Supervise and mentor junior tax staff, reviewing work and providing guidance on complex tax issues.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA designation highly desirable.
5+ years of relevant tax experience, preferably in a public accounting firm or corporate tax department.
Strong understanding of U.S. tax laws and regulations, including experience with corporate and partnership taxation.
Proficiency with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, GoSystem, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
Solid knowledge of ASC 740 and tax provision processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
