The Role

The Social Media Manager will report to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing and lead the development and execution of Pressed’s social media strategy across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. This role will concept, create, shoot, and edit short-form, platform-native content that reflects the brand voice, while staying on top of trends, formats, and emerging creators. They’ll manage the content calendar, publish daily posts, and engage with the community, using data to inform performance and optimize content. The Social Media Manager will also partner with influencers—from micro to celebrity—and collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Brand, Creative, Retail, and Product Marketing to support key launches and campaigns. This role requires agility, creativity, and a strong pulse on culture to keep the brand relevant and performance-driven.

We need someone who’s as comfortable concepting and shooting a viral iPhone Reel as they are pitching big ideas to internal teams and celebrity partners. You’re scrappy, current, and strategic—with a clear POV on what wins on social and why. You’re hungry, but seasoned. Creative, but analytical. Visionary, but executional.

Responsibilities Include

  • Own and execute the social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube Shorts, and new platforms as they emerge.
  • Concept and create content in-house—especially video—that’s native to each platform and aligned with Pressed’s brand voice.
  • Shoot and edit short-form content with agility, using both mobile and in-house tools
  • Partner with influencers (from micro to celebrity) and identify high-converting talent for ongoing brand and campaign work.
  • Monitor trends, memes, sounds, formats, and emerging creators to keep Pressed on the cultural front foot.
  • Use data to measure performance and optimize content across formats, posting cadence, and paid vs. organic approaches.
  • Maintain the content calendar and own the day-to-day publishing and community engagement.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—Brand, Creative, Retail, Product Marketing, and Community—to align social efforts with launches, campaigns, tentpole moments, and store openings.
  • Stay on top of platform-specific best practices and algorithm changes; communicate clearly what’s working, what’s not, and where we need to go next.
  • Bring new ideas forward to keep the brand culturally relevant, performance-oriented, and creatively led.
  • Represent the brand in influencer discussions and celebrity collaborations when needed.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience running social media for a high-growth brand, ideally in wellness, lifestyle, or CPG.
  • Deep knowledge of both DTC and brick-and-mortar environments—experience with store openings and retail-driven content is a must.
  • A true hybrid: creative storyteller + performance marketer.
  • A fast, flexible content creator with strong visual instincts and the ability to shoot/edit content quickly and natively.
  • Deeply in tune with social trends and digital culture—you live on TikTok and IG, and understand what makes content take off.
  • Analytical and metrics-driven, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
  • Thoughtful and assertive in building relationships with creators and influencers, from grassroots talent to celebrities.
  • Confident working across departments and able to prioritize in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
  • Passionate about wellness, culture, and using social to build deeper brand connection.
  • Must be able to work 3+ days per week in our Culver City, CA office or shooting content in the field.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without restriction.
